Nortel BCM Night Service, Nortel BCM50 Night Service

How to Setup Night Service on Nortel BCM50 , 200 , 400

Follow the following procedure but you must have basic Knoledge of how to setup via  Element Manager:

  1. Under Telephony/ Ring Groups/Group Membership-Group 001(default), remove the default sets (if you leave them, they will ring kind of like a broadcast hunt group. MAKE SURE the only DN(s) in Group 001 are the sets you want to ring when a call comes in on the main Target Line during NORMAL Business Hours.
  2. Under Telephony/Ring Groups/Group Membership-Group 002:
    assign the VoiceMail DN (ex: 351)
  3. Under Telephony/Ring Groups/Line Settings:
    Select the Target Line or any Physical Line that was assaigned to the BTN (ex: 241 0r 61 etc. Set the “Night” schedule to use Ring Group to 002 (sends calls to your VM/AA on zero ring). Set the other schedules to use Ring Group 001 (your console phone(s)) use feature 985 to check what is your voicemail or AA extension.
  4. Under Telephony/Schedule Services
    Set Night to:
    Routing Svc: “Off”
    OverFlow: “Off”
    Ringing Svc: “Manual” (This alows the user to engage/disengage the service otherwise it will follow the schedule in the Scheduled Services tab).
    Trunk Answer: “Yes”
    Extra Dial Set: “221″
    Restriction Svc: “Off”
  5. Assaign a “Night Svcs” button on the console phone. Use F*3, then assaign F871 to the desired button.
